MARY AND MAIN DISPENSARY JOINS FORCES WITH REGIONAL CANNABIS BRANDS TO REGISTER OVER 150 RESIDENTS AS MARYLAND MEDICINAL CANNABIS PATIENTS FOR FREE

Mother and Daughter Owned Dispensary Continues to Make Strides in Educating Prince George’s County in Cannabis

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD – MAY 18, 2019 – This past weekend, Prince George’s County medicinal cannabis dispensary Mary and Main, registered over 150 Maryland residents as new Maryland Medicinal Cannabis patients. Partnering with Maryland cannabis brands such as Curio Wellness, SunMed Growers, and Vireo Health and several others, the collaborative group purchased 100 $50 patient cards totaling $5,000.

In Prince George’s County and other predominantly African American communities alike, there have been several concerns and complaints surrounding the cost and accessibility to medicinal cannabis.

“Mary and Main has taken note of the interests and need for alternative medicine in our community,” says Dr. Wiseman. “We take pride in not only providing cannabis as a medicine, but also making it accessible to the county we serve.”

In addition to assisting Prince George’s County community residents to become educated cannabis patients, CEO Hope Wiseman, has a strong desire to educate her home community about how to become a part of an industry that has for so long worked to keep African Americans out.

“It has been such a joy to see how the community embraces us,” says Hope Wiseman. “We do our best to give the community as much opportunity as possible to have safe access to this alternative form of medicine.”

The mother-daughter founder duo will be continuing to educate their community on cannabis as a medicine and an industry from their dispensary where they hold education and business classes centered around cannabis.
