This Mother’s Day marked more than a holiday at Mary & Main. It marked the beginning of something beautifully bold. I’m so proud to officially welcome Mother Exotic, a new cannabis brand led by my dear friend, Sakara Barnes, to our shelves.
Mother Exotic is a softer, intentional, more elevated way to experience cannabis. From the moment Sakara first shared her vision with me, I knew this brand was going to be different. And now, after years of supporting each other through our respective journeys, I’m honored that Mary & Main is one of the first dispensaries to carry her launch. The intentional launch provided exclusive access to woman-owned dispensaries across the state.
A Mother’s Day Debut That Meant More
To commemorate the brand’s launch, we wanted to do something special. Something that would celebrate the essence of Mother Exotic while delighting our customers. On Sunday, May 11, we gifted the first 30 customers who purchased a Mother Exotic product a free potted flower in a branded 4.5” pot.
There was no catch. No minimum spend. Just a simple thank-you and a nod to the women who nurture, grow, and evolve. Much like this plant and this industry.
These small gifts weren’t just promotional. They were symbolic. A flower for a flower. A token of softness in a space that so often forgets to honor the feminine. This gesture reflected exactly what Mother Exotic stands for. Care, beauty, and a reminder to slow down and enjoy the bloom.
