Cannabis Enthusiasts Celebrate New Recreational 4/20 in Capitol Heights with Mary and Main

As a budding cannabis dispensary in the DMV area, we recently curated our first 4/20 (national cannabis day) celebration in the recreational market with resounding success. The initiative, led by our leadership team, strategically focused on four key areas to amplify revenue and community engagement.

Sales Surge: Our “4 Days of 4/20” campaign orchestrated by the team resulted in an astounding 201% surge in new customer visits compared to their busiest four-day weekend prior. A remarkable milestone was achieved with nearly 1,000 customers visiting in a single day, with queues wrapping around the door. The campaign also bolstered net revenue by over 30%, marking a significant triumph for the brand.

Local Community Engagement: A standout event, “Party on Main Street,” held on 4/20, attracted over 300 attendees. The festivities featured some of the DMV’s most beloved Black and Brown-owned food trucks, complemented by a sponsorship from Ben & Jerry’s, graciously facilitated by Primo Partners. Guests were treated to free ice cream while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere created by a talented DJ. Additionally, the team delighted attendees with complimentary merchandise, further enhancing the community spirit.

Influencer Mini Brand Trip: A unique experience was curated for 12 cannabis and lifestyle influencers, who embarked on a memorable journey aboard a chartered party bus. The itinerary included exclusive perks such as complimentary tickets to the National Cannabis Festival, a private shopping experience at Mary and Main with generous discounts, and a meticulously planned “Brunch and Bambus” event. This bespoke affair featured personalized touches, including custom nameplates and engaging activities like networking bingo and live chair massages.

Street Team Promotion at the National Cannabis Festival: To extend their reach, Mary and Main deployed a dedicated street team at the National Cannabis Festival. Eight team members distributed promotional materials highlighting the store’s offerings, incentivizing festival-goers to subscribe to email and text marketing channels. Furthermore, attendees were enticed with a generous first-time visitor discount, reinforcing Mary and Main’s commitment to customer satisfaction.

Reflecting on the monumental effort invested in the celebration, the team at Mary and Main acknowledges the collective dedication of their partners, sponsors, and visitors. As they continue to make strides in the industry, they express gratitude for the unwavering support that has propelled them to success.

Looking ahead, Mary and Main eagerly anticipates the opportunities that lie ahead, fueled by our passion for innovation and community engagement. With a shared vision and steadfast determination, we are poised to redefine the landscape of the local cannabis industry for years to come.
